Yolonda Thompson is the Founder of Vessels Of Integrity of Change, Empathy and Synergy (V.O.I.C.E.S), L.L.C an organization committed to awakening the potential in individuals and their communities through social and emotional learning. Through
interactive workshops, training, and programs,communities explore social and emotional awareness, management, relationship building, and decision-making with a local and global perspective. With over 20 years of experience,Yolonda’s strong interpersonal communication skills has contributed to successful outcomes that strengthen families and communities, increased academic performance in school age children, and increased collaboration with community based organizations.. Yolonda has a B.A. in Communications from George Washington University, an M.A. in Family and Marriage Counseling from Liberty University and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Recently recognized by Fairfax County’s Neighborhood Community Services for her community efforts, she has a vast knowledge of community advocacy, development, and partnership. In July 2019, she joined SCAN full time as the Family Programs Manager and works closely with program staff, facilitators, workshop presenters, and volunteers as well as engages with community partners. Yolonda seeks to:“awaken the human concern for others to bring peace, unity, and world changing results to humanity - one person and one community at a time.”.
